Introducing.........

On November the 18th I was dismissed from my job working as a betting shop manager, as a result, wrecking my dream of becoming a betting professional, along the lines of my hero, the Racing Post's resident alcoholic, Steve Palmer.
Sir Palmer's devotion to the gentlemanly arts of drinking and gambling are well documented in his blog, which at varying times, i shall aim to publish on this site.
Reading his attempts at using his weekly wage to reach a target of £30,000, thus enabling him to retire from work as a sports betting journalist and become a full time gambler, has at times, made me feel so much better about myself and my lack of addictions.
For me sports betting is a hobby, I enjoy watching any number of live sports and like to have an opinion to back, betting on matches featuring teams I don't support just leads to greater interest in the result.
As I mentioned at the start of this blog, I was dismissed from work on 11/18/09 and much to my chagrin, has resulted in a severe lack of opinion funds!(betting monies)
On the other hand it has resulted in me becoming ever so much more choosy with my picks, thus bringing about a better strike rate.
With this blog I'll be discussing opinions I have on ante post wagers on sporting events coming soon, diary like updates on personal ups and downs and pointing any followers (hopefully) in the direction of a few winners.
C'MON!!
